In the RP, there are certain conditions that are more or less hindering than in the games. I think this will make the RP more fair.
Paralysis: This is permanent within a battle. Your Pokemon CANNOT move, so special attacks are your only means of defense. Paralysis will not wear off unless you have a Paralyze Heal, Full Heal, Full Restore, or Cheri Berry.
Confusion: Moves such as Calm Mind or Focus Punch WILL NOT cure confusion. 'Focusing' will not 'drive' off confusion, but confusion is only temporary, so your Pokemon should not be afflicted for very long. This condition must last at least two of your posts. (Meaning the one who has the afflicted Pokemon.) It can be cured with Full Heal, Full Restore, and a certain type of berry.
Poison: This is probably one of the worst conditions you can receive in the RP. Your Pokemon's reactions are going to be slightly hindered, and they can only get worse as the battle progresses. Your Pokemon will lose attack power and speed as the battle progresses, and will be more susceptible to attacks. This will not wear off. It can only be cured with Antidote, Full Heal, Full Restore, or a Pecha Berry.
Burn: A burn necessarily isn't bad, but it can affect you hinder you greatly depending on where and how large the burn is. If a burn is on your Pokemon's leg or legs, your Pokemon will be much slower in the battle, but they will be able to move. This will not wear off. It can only be cured with a Burn Heal, Full Heal, Full Restore, or a Rawst Berry.
Sleep: This is very simple. Your Pokemon is asleep. They can't dodge, they can't respond, and they can't hear you screaming at them. This status condition must last at least two of your posts. It can be cured with Awakening, Full Heal, Full Restore, or Chesto Berry.
Freeze which is basically what it sounds like. Your Pokemon cannot move...because it's frozen inside a block of solid ice. The ice will thaw after a minimum of three turns, or if treated with with a Ice Heal, Full Heal, Full Restore, or whichever Berri heals ice. It's also thawed if hit by a Fire Move. If a frozen Pokemon knows Flame Wheel, it can use that attack, which will melt the ice...I think Blaze Kick and Fire Punch do the same...not sure...but I'll just assume it does, since it would make sense o.o
Needless to say, all of the above can be healed by taking your Pokemon to a Pokemon Center. Which reminds me...there's something I've been meaning to bring up. Unless you use a Heal Ball, Pokemon are, until treated, in the same condition they were in when you caught them. So if they were barely concious with a burn, then they remain that way.
Freezing is treated the same as a Sleeping pokemon, but Fire based or fiercely physical attacks can stop the condition. Use the Freeze Based medicines to cure it
